I specialize in accurate 3-D models for technical animation.

Here are some samples in external jpeg format:

The Boat

The Boat
This model is still under construction. I have been working on it since 1990. I keep adding pieces whenever I run out of other things to do. (seldom) The boat is the USS Bunker Hill, a Ticondaroga class Guided Missile Cruser. This model was started back when I worked for New Age Computers, which became Virtual Image Labs after I left. It was for an animation that Martin Marrietta never bought. The idea was to show the VLS (vertical launch system) empty the magazine in 30 seconds without expending the $180,000,000 or so worth of missiles it would take to actually film it. This model is accurate to 10cm at reference points and to within 1 meter elsewhere. The hull is the same as that used for the Spruance class Destroyers, so I may just start one of those when this is done. (yeah right)

Nile 100

Nile 100
I just finished this model for a Pyramid training video. It is done for the intended purpose but I will be adding detail in a manner similar to The Boat as time goes on. and on. and on....

RocketBank

RocketBank
This is one of my first models. I bought two of these coin banks at a swap-meet for $5.00. I love these things. You put a penny in a holder on the side and a little rocket on a spring fires it up under the lip of the top cone. I knocked this one off in Turbo Silver on my A500 way back when. This image is rendered by Lightwave.

Space Shuttle

Space Shuttle
I got a partial shuttle model in wavefront format from chinalake. It had many pieces missing and no surface definitions. I finished it and cleaned it up a lot. These views show the engine nacelles, tail and side detail.

Shuttle and 747

Shuttle and 747
This is the Shuttle sitting on top of a 747. (duh ;) The 747 model is the one that is distributed with Lightwave. The background is black because it was originally genlocked over moving video.

Comex Quantum

Comex Quantum
I used to work for Source One Business Systems in Tucson Az. The Computer line they (I) built was called Comex computers. The Quantum model was the Dual Pentium Processer machine for Windows NT. I think they sold one to Dave Gilinsky before I left.
