2) that maybe so comparing a 1750 to a new powerbook, but its quite the opposite when comparing other models my old toshiba CDT460 needed 1 screw removed to get the hdd out, on my G3 ibook you have to remove keyboards, rf shields, cd rom, THE SCREEN! and various other bits to get to the hard drive.

As much as I like Macs they aren't perfect and they don't solve every problem

Back on topic, I'm having the same problem, I have nfi how to get this thing open, I'm going to contact the toshiba agent in town tomorrow, ill post back if i find anything useful
