Ji Lois,
.....To help solve many of your technical problems, I would suggest that you contact visit your nearest Radio Shack and order the GRiD Technical Manual, part # 10836294 for $10.36 and GRiD Service Manual, part # 10835742 for $10.31. From what I have read, I feel safe to assume that you already have the GRiD 1660 Users Guide. Armed with these three publications and a new battery I'm sure you will find even more uses for this unit. One other suggestion is to find a docking station for your 1660. This way, you can have it hooked upto a vga color monitor, printer, 28.8 modem and an external mouse when you are not using it away from home. All you have to do is slide it into place and you are ready to go. At this time, I only have one docking station but I run across them from time to time and I'm sure you will see some for sale on this site. Good luck with the manuals. I hope I was of some assistance. Yours truly, DH

: I have been unsuccessful in using an external PS/2 mouse. I followed the directions from the User Guide, but the mouse is not recognized as being present. The "trackball" works but I would like the option of using the external PS/2 mouse. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to approach this problem?
