My 1520 has done this since the day I purchased it, but I managed to get it to work.
When it says "press F1 to continue", hit ctrl-alt-del and wait. With my 1520 it boots again, complains that the time of day is not set, then prompts me to hit the F1 key. I press the F1 key and it boots normally. While this may very well not work with your specific machine, I'd say it's certainly worth a try.
