: I ran the dos disk defrag & optimize. Unit crashed. I have all of the software that was on the drive on a ZIP disk (including hidden & system files) and I made a boot (floppy) disk before I started.
: The computer will not boot from C: or from A: with the boot disk in it. I know the boot disk is ok, tried it before. I get non-system disk or disk error. Is there a jumper to get the floppy drive to read at 1.44 meg, does this drive revert to 720k format or what? Any help greatly appreaciated!

Yuck...HHmmm....Are you sure the non system disk error is coming from the A: drive and not the C: drive?
My guess is it is in fact from the A: drive.
If you're not sure it's booting from the floopy, (as it says in other posts) hold down the F key after the
POST beep...Then wait. It takes about 30 to 45 seconds for mine to finally decide to
boot up from the floppy.

I don't know if the drive reads 1.44 floppies. The single MS-DOS startup disk I had just died a few minutes ago. So I can't bring mine up right now.
When (if) I get it up, I'll let you know.
